Local merchants have the opportunity to offer items from the Emporium or they may choose to have a storefront of their own on Shopper Street.
Is safe to order on-line?
When you go to Shopper Street or any of the storefronts such as the Aurora Emporium, you will be visiting shopperstreet.com, a website owned by the East Aurora Advertiser. When you place an order, the order form is encrypted and e-mailed in an encrypted state. It's "translated" off line in the Advertiser office and the charge card is processed just as we process a regular mail or phone order.When is my account charged?
Your credit card will be charged for the amount of your order when it is ready to be shipped to you. PLEASE NOTE THAT ITEMS ORDERED FROM SOME OF THE SHOPPER STREET STOREFRONTS MAY APPEAR ON YOUR CHARGE CARD STATEMENT AS A CHARGE FROM THE EAST AURORA ADVERTISER, rather than the store that is actually providing the merchandise. Shopper Street represents a collection of merchandise from local merchants, gathered here for you shopping convenience. We are still mainly locally-owned, family businesses. As such, we aren't operating 24-hours a day. So please plan on a three business-day time for us to process your order. Naturally, we'll process as quickly as possible. After your order is processed, the shipping time will be determined by the carrier selected.
