David
M. Hamilton has over fifteen years of experience in the railroad industry
on Class 1, regional, and shortline carriers. His areas of experience include
operations, customer service, car accounting, and corporate communications. In
railroad operations, he has held positions in train & engine service,
dispatching and as a trainmaster at a major hump classification yard.
Mr. Hamilton holds a
Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Syracuse
University’s Franklin Program in Transportation and Distribution Management. He
has also completed the Drexel University Certified Trainer program, the Aubrey
Daniels course on Behavioral Safety, and the Conrail Train Dispatcher School.
His experience includes
presenting rules and safety classes to T&E employees, conducting rules
compliance testing, and developing railroad operating plans. He is qualified on
the NORAC railroad operating rules, airbrake rules and hazmat regulations, and
has been trained in drug & alcohol testing requirements.
